Dunlop extends deal as tyre supplier to Moto2 and Moto3

Dunlop has announced that it has extended its agreement to be the official tyre supplier to Moto2 and Moto3 until the end of the 2020 season.

The tyre company has a long history of supplying the sport, being the sole supplier to Moto2 and Moto3 since the inception of those championships and this looks set to continue for a few more years yet. As part of their role to supply tyres, they are also committed to evolving the tyres as more data is available, with different compounds and constructions available at each weekend depending on the conditions. Each rider across both classes receives the same allocation before the first free practice session so all tyres are available to everyone, with individual riders then deciding which tyres to use during qualifying and the race.

As well as supplying tyres to both classes, they will continue to support the #ForeverForward award which is given out to the rider with the most overtaking manoeuvres across both classes, which was won in 2017 by Sky Racing VR46 rider Andrea Migno with an exceptional 137 overtakes during the 2017 season.

We are proud to continue our long and successful relationship with Dorna in Moto2™ and Moto3™ . We are constantly pushing forward and bringing new technologies to the sport. Indeed, we introduced a brand-new specification of Moto2 tyre at Valencia for the final round of the 2017 season and this was chosen by the race winner, Miguel Oliveira.
